Our Vision
I strive to pick high quality fabric that will last a life time with great care. I touch every piece of fabric before it gets in the hands of someone spreading nothing but love. Sustainable practices are also focused as I produce less waste for the environment I truly embrace. Bellissea is focused on the softness and detail in the fabric, feeling confident, happy and comfortable with each and every piece worn. Just know it’s all made with love. Each piece is proudly produced right here in the United States.

Our vision for inclusivity runs deep, and while we’re a small brand, we’re committed to expanding our size options as we grow. We believe in transparency, and we’re excited to share our journey toward more inclusive sizing with our community.
My Story
In June 2023, I found myself at a crossroads, uncertain about my path forward. One afternoon, I received a letter from my eighth-grade teacher, a surprise after so many years. Inside were two sheets of paper. One was a note from her, offering support for college recommendations and checking in on my progress, and the other was something I had written in middle school about my dreams for the future. In the top right corner, I had written, “Fashion Designer.” The letter was dated June 2014, having somehow gotten lost in the mail for nine years. At that moment, I felt it was a clear sign to pursue my own brand.
In July, as I was brainstorming names, I encountered challenges, as my original idea had already been widely used. That month, I also bought tickets to Sardinia, marking my first international trip in September. With Italian heritage on the paternal side of my family, I found inspiration in the word bellissima, meaning “beautiful” in Italian, and combined it with sea, creating “Bellissea”… A name that felt like the perfect representation of my vision.
Fashion has been a passion since childhood. My paternal grandmother, who lived in Europe, would make her own clothing and passed down her skills, teaching me how to sew and instilling in me a love for creating with my hands.
